Sport: Basketball (B)

2021 Record: 21-7

Key Players Lost:
Christian Fermin – Forward/Center
Malaki Savage – Guard
Justin Love – Guard

Key Returning Players:
JuJu Pagan – Senior – 6’3″ – Point Guard – 13.2 ppg – 5.2 rpg – 4.6 apg: Ju is arguably the best player all-around player and play maker in District XI. He was snubbed last season as an EPC All-League player and as a Morning Call All-Area player. He recently committed to Kutztown University & is ready to step out of the huge shadow of Christian Fermin.

Day-Day Smith – Senior – 6’4″ – Guard – 4 ppg – 5 rpg – Our only other returning starter from last year. The Consummate role player. Has a high basketball IQ and rebounds and distributes it well.

Ethan Sackwa – Senior – 6’0 – Guard – 3 ppg – 4 rpg – An extremely hard worker who has catapulted himself into a starting spot and become one of our leaders.

Key Newcomers:
KJ Coles – Frosh – 6’2″ – Point Guard
Adrian Brito – Soph – 6’4″ – Forward
Jonathan Mateo – Soph – 5’10” – Guard
Jayden Huggins – Soph – 6’0 – Guard
Devin Artis – Junior – 5’9″ – Guard
James Stewart – Senior – 6’1″ – Forward
Lorenzo Thompson – Senior – 6’2″ – Forward

2022 Outlook:
Strengths:
There’s no team that has put more time into improving that us. We have a high character group of kids who are excellent students and allow themselves to be held accountable by our staff.

Weaknesses:
Playing “AF” (After Fermin) has exposed some things defensively that were covered up last year by his rim protection. We will need to gang rebound due to our lack of size and toughness & learn how to sacrifice our bodies and take charges at the rim.
