If you look at the roster from last year’s state championship Pine Grove Area softball team and compare it to this season’s roster, you will find a lot of key names on both such as seniors Callee Leffler (CF, Florida State commit, 2025 PaHSSBCA 3A PoY), Tailyn Bohr (C), and Hannah Aungst (SS, Messiah commit) along with other underclass players.

Today, the Lady Cardinals look to repeat as PIAA 3A champions as they play the undefeated Sharon Tigers. First pitch is set for 1:30pm from Nittany Lion Softball Park.

For Pine Grove, they are back at University Park for their second state title game in a row after defeating Bald Eagle Area 3-2 in 13 innings last year. On the other side, Sharon is making their first appearance in the state softball championship in program history.
