Middleton To Lead Zephyr Girls Basketball Program

Whitehall High School is proud to announce the hiring of James Middleton as its next Head Coach in Girls Basketball.

Coach Middleton comes to us after 2 seasons as the Head Womens’ Basketball Coach at Lehigh Carbon Community College. Coach Middleton was an excellent athlete at Easton Area High School playing for great coaches like Steve Shiffert and Jim Hutnik. He also assisted in the Mens’ program at LCCC.

“We pleased to be able to hire James Middleton as our next Girls Basketball Coach at Whitehall. We had a number of quality applicants, because of the importance of improving our girls’ basketball. Coach Middleton has an endearing quality about him that we think will help us tum the comer in our program. Coach Middleton stood out amongst those quality applicants. Coach Middleton is looking to add stability and a positive culture that our program desperately needs. He understands that what we need now is fundamentals in skills instead of a bunch of plays and defenses. He will look to have his program hand its hat on hardnosed defense and playing the game right way with passion. Coach Middleton is looking to immerse himself in the Whitehall Athletics community to grow the program and build roots. We, at Whitehall, are looking forward to his leadership and are more than eager for him to put his own stamp on the program.”
