Assistant Coaches: Amilee Moyer

Team Name: Northwestern Lehigh High School Varsity Volleyball Team

Sport: Volleyball (G)

League: Colonial

2019 Record: Overall Record: 8-10 League Record: 4-6

Key Players Lost: We lost 8 seniors this year, so we have a huge hole to fill. Some key players were:

1. Samantha McGinley (Outside Hitter). She had 92 kills, 62 digs and 24 aces last season.
2. Chloe Grim (Libero). She had 179 digs, 26 aces, and 16 kills last season.
3. Kylie Wade (Rightside Hitter). She had 54 kills, 50 digs and 17 aces last season.
4. Megan Corke (Defensive Specialist). She had 131 digs and 34 aces last season.
5. Lindsey Rex (Middle Hitter). She had 44 kills and 35 blocks last season.

Key Returning Players: 1. Senior Brynn Buschta. She played on the Varsity team last year as a setter and had 150 digs, 46 aces, and 48 kills. She was also voted to be on the Colonial League for All-League Second Team.

2. Senior Ella Carson. She played on the Varsity team last year as a defensive specialist and outside hitter. However, she got injured half way through the season and was unable to return. She had 33 kills, 32 digs and 10 aces for the first half of the season.

Key Newcomers:

1. Olivia Slifies (Junior, Middle Hitter and Outside Hitter).

2. Samantha Moss (Junior, Defensive Specialist).

Outlook: We only have 4 returners this year out of the 12 girls on our team. Our off-season training has focused on building unity among the new Varsity squad. My goal is for my players to become a unit and develop teamwork. As always, I want each of my players to develop not only their skills but their character as well. This year I expect our team to do very well. We have many talented players. Now it is just a matter of the group coming together and playing as one unit. This is something that takes time whenever you have a new group of girls playing together.
