Parkland Swim Teams Advance 2-0

The Parkland Trojans took a hike up to the Poconos to take on Pocono Mountain West on Tuesday, December 13th. Both teams raced hard in the water and secured themselves another win on the season. The Lady Trojans defeated PMW 128-42. The Parkland Men’s Team  won 123-46.

To kick off the meet, both of the Parkland girls and boys medley relays won. The event that followed was the 200 free. Two seniors took gold for this event, on the girls side, Natasha Goldman and on the boys side, Marcus Moreef. Next up was the 200 IM. Junior Madison Roseman claimed first for the Lady Trojans and sophomore Pedro Teran finished first for the boys.

As we moved on to the 50 free, freshman Milla Hahn placed first for the girls who also won the following event, 100 fly. Next up was the 100 free where freshman Kelsey McPeek finished first and Moreef took his second win of the evening.

Next up, our distance crew took on the 500 free where sophomores Mackenzie Platt and Michael Toth both placed first. As we reached the last two individual events, sophomore Gabe Krizel took first in the 100 back. Senior Ashley Settle won the 100 breast. To finish the meet off, both the boys and girls 400 free relays claimed first.

The Lady Trojans’ and Parkland Men’s Team move to 2-0 with their next meet against Whitehall. The meet will take place at Parkland High School at 4:00pm on Tuesday, December 20th. The Parkland Men and Women’s teams will head into this meet ready to swim fast in preparation for their big Emmaus rivalry meet which is right around the corner. Good luck teams.
