On February 5th, 2024, the Easton Red-Rovers were out for revenge against the Becahi Lady Golden Hawks. It was a close battle through three and Becahi ended up falling short. The final score was 35-47.
On Easton’s side, it was a revenge game. Before this game, Becahi had been their only loss. This time for the Rovers, the ball movement and free throws helped seal the win on the offensive side of things. Defensively, the presence of Easton’s side was felt in the paint all night and helped get opportunities on offense. The Red Rovers were in the zone all night and did not let the opposing fans and team get to them. The Rovers finish first in the standings and have the two seeds in the playoffs. This looks to be a game that gives them lots of momentum going into the playoffs.
As for Becahi, they were looking for the sweep. It looked like they would get it after the first after two big threes from Cici Hernandez gave them the lead after the first. After that, they let off the gas a little bit and the Rovers took advantage of that opportunity and rode that wave for the rest of the game. The Hawks did, however, surge in the third but failed to obtain the lead. The Hawks have the first seed in the playoffs and look to use that to accomplish many things and win it all.
Throughout the whole game and the atmosphere being electric, the Rovers stayed composed with a sound mind and won this game. The Rovers look to ride this wave through the playoffs, and the Hawks look to use their seeding to their advantage.
