Stroudsburg Mountaineers Varsity Softball wins contest against East Stroudsburg South, 7-2

The Mountaineers got on the board in the first inning. Janine Crawford drove in one when Crawford doubled.

Stroudsburg Mountaineers Varsity pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth, Natalie Berwick singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring two runs.

Stroudsburg notched four runs in the fifth inning. Bailey Goldberg, Crawford, and Lilah Guthy powered the big inning with RBIs.

Berwick earned the win for Stroudsburg Mountaineers Varsity. The pitcher allowed seven hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out nine and walking zero.

Stroudsburg Mountaineers Varsity collected seven hits. Guthy and Crawford each racked up multiple hits for their team. Crawford and Guthy each managed two hits to lead Stroudsburg, and the team didn’t commit a single error in the field. Crawford had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.
