Stroudsburg over Freedom

Stroudsburg Mountaineers Varsity snatched the lead late in the game in a 6-4 victory over Freedom on Thursday. The game was tied at four with Stroudsburg Mountaineers Varsity batting in the bottom of the sixth when Kinley Gioglio singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Freedom got things moving in the second inning. Juliana Presto tripled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Gioglio was the winning pitcher for Stroudsburg Mountaineers Varsity. She lasted seven innings, allowing eight hits and four runs while striking out five and walking zero.

Jennifer Slanovec took the loss for Freedom. She allowed eight hits and six runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out five.
