It’s the last Saturday in April and that means Opening Day for Youth Baseball and Softball at Northwestern. This is the 11th year that NYAA has celebrated their Tee Ball, Grasshopper, and Prep Softball programs and it all begins with a parade followed by a full day of games.
Making a special appearance once again this year was Ferrous from the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. He along with the Northwestern Tiger were on hand to entertain all the players and their families.
High School players from both Softball and Baseball also were there to lend a helping hand with the Opening Ceremonies. In all, there will be 12 youth programs competing-five Grasshopper, four T-ball and three softball teams.
