Last year’s 10-0 District 11 Championship left a sour taste for the Minersville players, but they’re eager to get revenge. The senior group of players made the postseason every year, and lost 2 District Championships. The Battlin’ Miners head coach Shane Spotts said if they want to get back to where they were in the postseason last year, they need to be hungry and eager to work. Spotts doesn’t like to look too far ahead and wants to focus on the regular season where seeding and the real challenge is at. Seniors Logan Hutsko, Easton Schultz, and Owen Fortna all want to get back to the District Championship game and finish their careers with winning one. Spotts and the players never expected there to be a Media Day for Schuylkill League Baseball. Below is a preview of the 2025 Minersville Battlin’ Miners Baseball team.
