Parkland High School the site for the District X1 4A and 5A Championship games. Bangor beat Southern Lehigh 3-2 to win their third title in the last four years, while Blue Mountain proved to be to much for Northwestern winning the 4A crown 5-1.
Emily Brennan hit a two-run triple in the third inning to give Blue Mountain an early 2-0 advantage. After the Tigers cut the deficit to 2-1, the Eagles scored three runs in the 5th inning to put the game out of reach and take home their first ever Softball Championship.
Peightyn Schwartz picked up the win for the Eagles who will open up the PIAA tournament on Monday at Pottsville against James Buchanan at 1pm.
