Nazareth Blue Eagles Moving on to Semifinals

After a tough game against Northampton at Andrew S. Leh Stadium for the District XI 6A quarterfinals, Nazareth came out on top, in a thrilling victory with the final score being 37-36. During the regular season, Nazareth (seeded third with a record of 7-3) experienced a tough loss against Northampton (seeded 6th with a record of 4-6), by a score of 41-28.

For Northampton, Chase Kessler was able to score three touchdowns. Gavin Taff and Zander Rickert also made it to the end zone, but it was not enough to stop the Blue Eagles. Nazareth came back late in the game with Marquez Wimberly scoring three touchdowns, Matt Leluga scoring a touchdown, and Owen Hall making multiple field goals to secure the win.

Marquez Wimberly (227 yards rushing) did a great job helping the Blue Eagles secure the win. Through his leadership he was able to take his team to the District XI 6a semifinals against Parkland. Northampton finished with a record of 4-7, but has their last game on Thanksgiving Day against Catasauqua.
