Head Coach: Collin Beil – First year coaching at Nazareth Area High School
Assistant Coaches:
Mario Amitrano
Meghan Speshok
Harrison Beil
Team Name: Nazareth Area Blue Eagles
League: Eastern Pennsylvania Conference
2025 Record: 7-4
Key Players Lost:
Jackson Biechy – Outside Hitter
Trevor Werkheiser – Opposite
Jake Rice – Setter
Joey Colucci – Middle Blocker
Noah Bogar – Libero
Ty Kirkham – Outside Hitter – (moved to Texas)
Key Returning Players:
Christian DeMrag, Senior, 5’11”, Pin Hitter/Libero – Christian has shown great leadership qualities, and also a great deal of ability on the volleyball court. Christian is a dedicated volleyball athlete who is coming off his 18u club season with Velocity. He has played Libero for the Blue Eagles in previous seasons, but he has some potential to transition to a pin hitter position. Either way, he has the ability to make an impact on our team.
Taisen Van Hise, Junior, 6’2″, Pin Hitter – Taisen is a hard worker who loves the game of volleyball. He is joining this year’s team after a very successful club volleyball season, and you can tell that he cares very deeply about our team. He works hard to perfect his game. I can tell he will go far because he is detail-oriented. He is a quiet leader, and prefers to lead by example.
Cooper Madson, Sophomore, 6’3″, Pin Hitter – Cooper was pulled up to varsity late last season as a freshman, and has made some great strides in his game since then. He played club volleyball in the off-season and he is an incredible athlete. I am very excited to see him continue to grow. He has insane potential!
Key Newcomers:
Jack Attieh, Sophomore, 6’2″, Middle Blocker
Joey Ellis, Sophomore, 6’0″, Setter
Jacob Harris, Sophomore, 6’4″, Middle Blocker/Opposite
2026 Outlook: For this 2026 season, I am very excited about our young core. This year’s sophomore class is very deep, and I am excited to watch them grow and develop as the year goes on. With that said, I think that we have also a great group of upperclassmen who have demonstrated the ability to lead and push the younger guys to work hard so we can reach our full potential. These young men have great attitudes, so I am very eager to see the heights they can soar to.

Head Coach: Christopher Miller (1st year)
Assistant Coaches:
Keith Hardaway
JV Head Coach Alexandra Bosco
Team Name: Emmaus
League: EPC
2025 Record: 20-2
Key Players Lost: The big losses to graduation from last year are Collin Holden who was as special as it gets in high school volleyball. He locked down the net as a blocker like no other. We also lost a very good outside in Lucas Mondin. He was a very consistent player, you knew what he was going to give you day in and day out. Those are the only two big losses
Key Returning Players: As for top returning players we have a lot of them. First up we have our senior setter Ben Skekel, he is going to be an amazing player this year. He has big goals for himself and this team. He has the hardest topspin in PA for serving with amazing hands to set up the rest of the team to get kills constantly. Second we have junior outside Miles Boulrice, he is going to be a very special outside. He is one of the hardest workers in the gym at all times and never stops learning. He also always is ready to do whatever you need from him and is an amazing leader on and off the court. He is going to be one of the best passers in the league this year and a top hitter. Third up we have senior outside Grayson Answini, he is an amazing athlete. He mixes his athleticism with skill and it makes him one of the most special outside hitters there are.
Then on defense he reads the court like no other. Fourth we have senior right side hitter Bilaal Kerim, he is quite literally the highest jumping kid I have seen in a long time. The thing that is special about him is he never gets tired from jumping; he just always keeps going! Other key player returning is senior outside Sander Houtz who is a very good all around player and can play wherever I ask, also senior setter Jayden Perez who has some of the cleanest hands in the valley for setters.
Key Newcomers: I have a few key newcomers. I have junior middle Alex Dise, he is a very quiet kid but makes his presence known on the court. He will help us lock down the net with his great blocking ability. We also have two sophomore middles in Kai Lipski and Chris Romig, they are both going to help us right off the bat with their offensive attack and young minds where we can get them to where we want them to be. They are both very coachable and are great kids on and off the court. We also have 2 new liberos in Jesse Owusu and Josiah Brown, they are going to be great focal points of our serve receive and defense in the 5. Jesse is the quickest lateral mover I have seen and Josiah just reads the court and always ends up in the right spot.
2026 Outlook: The strengths we are going to have are our pin attackers. This group of hitters we have is going to be special and you are going to hear their names a lot. Miles Boulrice, Grayson Answini, Bilaal Kerim, and Sander Houtz are all starting caliber players and next level players. Being able to coach all of them and have them all is something very special. I also think having the top setter in the EPC is going to be special. Ben Skekel our setter just got named to PVCA watch list as it is not only us saying how good he is. All of PA sees what he is capable of.
The areas of improvement right away are going to be middle blocking and hitting. The middles being young is very nice as they are all being very coachable and getting the middles to the place they need to be is happening. But there is still a lot of work for them as they are still constantly learning.
My outlook on this team is that it is going to be a very special year. I knew most of the kids from coaching at Velocity for club volleyball. So they and I already had a good connection and we are only building that connection even stronger now. As long as they stay working hard and keep creating the family mentality I am building here at Emmaus they will only get better as the year goes on. I am going in with the expectations to make a big run this year. The sky’s the limit with this team!
