Whitehall continued its strong postseason run Tuesday night, powering past Abington Heights in straight sets, 3-0, in the opening round of the PIAA Class AAA Boys Volleyball Tournament at Abington Heights.
The Zephyrs controlled the match from the opening serve, earning a convincing 25-16, 25-13, 25-22 victory to advance to the PIAA AAA Quarterfinals.

Whitehall came out firing in the first two sets, overwhelming Abington Heights with an aggressive attack and strong defensive play. The Zephyrs built momentum early and never looked back, cruising to comfortable wins in the opening sets before fending off a tougher challenge in the third to complete the sweep.

Leading the offensive charge for Whitehall was Cole Richards, who finished with 10 kills and 10 digs for a double-double performance. Omari Ratliff added eight kills and four blocks, while Cole Rozycki contributed seven kills and two blocks at the net.

Elias Kamhia added six kills and seven digs in a balanced effort, while setter Kole Moyer orchestrated the offense with 33 assists and chipped in two kills. Defensively, libero Drew Sodl anchored the back row with a team-high 21 digs.
With the win, Whitehall advances to the PIAA AAA Quarterfinals and will face District 3 champion Cumberland Valley on Saturday, June 6, with the site and time still to be determined.

Cumberland Valley enters the matchup after a dominant straight-set victory over Spring-Ford, winning 25-14, 25-13, and 25-20 in its opening-round match.

Whitehall will look to keep its postseason momentum rolling as it eyes a spot in the state semifinals.
