A three year varsity player, Bryce has played his best games in the biggest moments. He came off the bench and scored 10 first half points to help lead the Panthers to the District XI Championship over Notre Dame Green Pond. He has been a part of 45 wins for the Panthers over the past three seasons. This year he will look to expand his role as a scorer and defensive specialist for Panther Valley.
5’10 Senior Guard Brandon Stilitino #3
Coming off an injury plagued sophomore campaign, the junior long range bomber was consistently one of the top three point shooters in the state last season. Averaging 11.8 points per game in division 1 of the Schuylkill League, Stilitino knocked down 70 three point field goals, second most in a season in PV history (1 shy of the school record). He tied the school record for most in a game with 9 on December 28 at MMI. He also shot 76% from the foul line. Stilitino has 94 career three pointers in just 34 games played, good for 8th place on the school’s all time list. A spot up shooter in the past, Stilitin o has improved his all around game in the off season and has developed into one of the area’s best players.
5’6 Senior Guard Erick Marchorro #1
A starter since his first game as a sophomore, Marchorro has been a mainstay in the Panther line up during the two best seasons of the past 20 years. A lightening quick 5’6 guard, Erick has done a bit of everything for the Panthers. He has shot 40% from the field and knocked down 46 three’s during the last two seasons. He has also manned the point position and has the potential to be one of the more pesky defenders in the area.
6’0 Senior Guard/Forward Blake White #22
A jack of all trades, White is one of the area’s better athletes and a stand out football player for the Panthers. A starter his freshmen year, White was poised for a sophomore breakout season until a football injury set him back. He returned to the Panther line up last year and played every position on the floor for the Panthers. The team’s top defender, White led the team in steals and was second in rebounds.
Returning Players: Bryce Krapf, Austin Hadley
Key Newcomers: Stephen Hood, Chase Weaver, Michael Pascoe, Ben Kindt, Cody Orsulak, Bradley Hood, Anthony Fatzie, Seth Berk, Tommy Edwards, Drew Kokinda
Outlook: This will be the youngest and most inexperienced team we have fielded in at least the past 20 years. With that being said, it is a very athletic, competitive and talented group of athletes that have a great work ethic and desire to compete. There are two freshmen that will paly key roles in Stephen Hood and Chase Weaver, while Bryce will expand his role from previous seasons.
We will count on the leadership of Bryce along with all of our seniors that have been a part of building this program’s success the past few seasons. Our expectations do not change because of youth or inexperience, our goals are to compete in Division 1 of the SL and qualify for districts.
