Team Name: Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils

2021 Record: 22-5 (including district playoff)

Key Players Lost:

Matthew Alvarez
Luke Matta
Bobby Boris
Manuel Guillen

Key Returning Players:

Kaleb Maksimik – Senior, 5′-10″, PG/SG.
Best ball handler, shooting guard and most experienced returning 3 year starter.

Brian Rivera – Senior, 6’4″, SF/PF/C
Best big man, returning starter. High expectations for a big senior season. Helped save our season last year by taking over for

Sr. Luke Matta who was lost for the year to injury.

Key Newcomers:
Brady Nadja – Jr, 6-2, SF/PF
Braden Maksimic – Soph 6-0, PG/SG
Eric Hernanez – Sr, 6-2, PF
John Silvestre – 6-5, C

2022 Outlook: Lost five seniors from a district XI 2a and Div 3 championship team. Leadership and experience will be weaknesses early that have to develop quickly in order to succeed. Our two senior leaders (Maksimik and Rivera) will have to lead and use their playoff experience to guide a young team.

Newcomers will have to establish their roles and adapt quickly.

Our division is always tough. Mahanoy Area will be much improved. Catholic schools like Marian and Nativity will always find new players. Weatherly is always tough.

Adding a former player in Dombrosky to the coaching staff is a huge addition for us.
