Promising Newcomer:

Camille Chambers (Freshman) Defense. Camille will be an impact player for us this season. She is very athletic, fast and strong. She plays an aggressive style of defense and has a lot of game experience from club play. Camille fits nicely into our style of play. She will add depth to an already talented back line.

Team Offensive and Defensive Strategies: “The girls play fundamentally sound defense.  The team only gave up 20 goals last season, which was the best goals against in the Schuylkill League. We had 8 shutouts. Our backline is very comfortable with the ball and can quickly create offense by linking up with a highly skilled midfield. Offensively we have many scoring threats, led by Lauren LeKites, Nicole Carroll, and Mackenzie Yuhas. We finished the season scoring 68 goals, coming from 12 different players.”

Team Strengths and Weaknesses: “One of our strengths is our collective experience. We have a lot of veteran players who have played a lot of varsity minutes over the last four years. They have played in many rivalry games and many intense playoff games with several ending in shootouts. But despite that experience, it’s going to be a challenge replacing two all-league players that graduated- Center back Kelli Hogarty and GK Kate Bos. Both players were 4 year starters and will be playing in college.”

Team Goals: “We’re always looking to have fun and compete to the best of our ability. Our goal is to win games in order to compete in both league and district playoffs.”
