Head Coach: Lucas Monica, 2nd season as Head Coach

JV Head Coach – Alphanso Miller, 1st season
JV Assistant – Ray Simmons, 1st season
Team Name: East Stroudsburg North Timberwolves
League: EPC
2025 Record: 3-17
Key Returning Players:
Colin Howell – Senior, Class of 2026 (Pitcher/Shortstop): Colin looks to return to the mound this season after a shoulder injury that prevented him from pitching and playing in the field. His injury kept him from fully impacting the game the way he can and he looks to showcase his full skillset post injury and improve on an incredibly successful individual junior season, where he hit a .415 average with a 1.134 OPS and 15 RBI as a designated hitter. He earned 2nd team All-Conference honors in 2025.
Josiah Caceres – Junior, Class of 2027 (First Baseman/Pitcher) – Determined to build off of a solid sophomore season, Josiah has been a leader throughout the offseason in and out of the locker room. Last season, he put together a solid statistical season hitting .314 with a .799 OPS, while also striking out 43 batters in just 25.2 innings. Josiah has dedicated himself to improving and looks to establish himself as a top player in the division.
Robby Ford – Senior, Class of 2026 (Pitcher/Centerfield): Robby looks to build upon a solid season offensively and improve on his phenomenal defensive Junior season. Ford had 13 outfield assists while also leading the team in wins on the mound last season. Towards the end of the season, he was able to find a consistent approach at the plate and looks to continue that success early to start this season.
Key Newcomers: No newcomers. We had the luxury of having a young team last year that spent the 2025 season and this current off/Preseason developing and honing in on their skill sets. Each player has put in the work to improve in every aspect.
2026 Outlook: Our strength coming into this season is pitching overall as a team. Last season we relied on just a few arms, whereas this season we have developed more players that can help our team on the mound.
A few question marks we look to answer and address this season would be consistency offensively and defensively. Last season when we put it all together offensively, defensively and pitching, we had great results, whether those results turned into wins or just close competitive games. As a team we look forward to building that consistency and keeping it throughout the season.

Offensively there are going to be guys thrust into roles that need to prove it at this level. We will work to find our offensive identity throughout the year.

Ordway at SS and Crossman at 1B hit .396 each last year to carry the Rovers in 2025 along with Chase Shollenberger in the OF and on the mound. (Monmouth University Recruit). Max Martenis will anchor the catching duties behind the plate.
The Rovers will have a formidable lineup with six returning starters and will have senior pitchers Khamryn SIngto, Chase Shollenberger, Noland Stem and Deegan Keller contributing along with a host of younger arms to round out the staff.
This group of athletes has worked hard and are excited about the EPC in 2026 and want to meet their goals of competing to win in the EPC and D11 play.
EPC:
The EPC is one of the best baseball leagues in the state. There is a tough game around every corner especially in the Northampton Steel Division. There are some incredibly talented teams, pitchers, and players across the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos and you know that on any given day you will need to be at your best to succeed.

With a lot of questions yet still to be answered, the team will have to rely on it’s pitching to keep them in games until some of these young guys get experience. Early in the season, the top of the rotation will be the Tigers strength. What the Tigers will need to figure out sooner than later is the OF (all starting OF’s from last year are gone). The overall success of Northwestern will largely depend on how fast some of the young players develop, particularly in the OF.

Devon Jackson – Sr., 5’10”, UTL
2025 Stats: .316 BA, 13 R, 17 RBI

Justin Williams – Sr., 5’9″, OF
2025 Stats: .295 BA, 22 R, 14 RBI, 6 XBH, 18 SB

Xander Stirr – Jr., 6’1″, RHP/1B
2025 Stats: .600 BA, 4 R, 7 RBI
Xander is a major contributor both on the mound and at the plate. After last season was cut short due to injury, we will lean on him to lead the pitching staff and drive in runs in the middle of the lineup.
Lucas Angst – Jr., 5’11”, C
2025 Stats: .293 BA, 21 R, 2 RBI, 13 SB
Lucas returns as our starting catcher and brings a balanced skill set offensively. He can be productive anywhere in the lineup. A smart player and strong baserunner, we look for him to elevate his leadership behind the plate.
Brady Marabell – Sr., 5’10”, P
2025 Stats: 3.65 ERA, 30.2 IP, 26 K

2026 Outlook: Have a nucleus of returning players with varsity experience that contributed to last year’s success. A majority of the pitching was lost to graduation. A couple young arms saw a number of innings last year and will need to step it up again this year. Now they are the veteran pitchers as juniors. A lot of the offensive production was lost to graduation as well. The team is goal driven though, as every team is, and they look to write their own story this year, one game at a time. Newcomers gaining experience will play a big factor in this team’s success.

Dom Ruggeri – 11 – P/OF

2026 Outlook: Depth among the program is way down. Tryout numbers and injuries are a cause for concern. Losing Kawczenski to injury leaves a huge void in center field and at the top of the lineup. We graduated a lot of team speed last year so we may need to figure out ways to get around the bases a little differently this year. We’re hoping Holland will be able to replace Chris Fritts as our closer but is battling his own injuries. He is a huge key to the back end of games. We have a lot of things to figure out early on. Adam Fritts, Parker Grady, and Dom Ruggeri are all unproven keys to our success both in the field and on the mound. We’re excited about their futures.
Having 90+ innings returning in Moscato and Woodring has us excited that they will be able to hold down the fort while we figure some things out and get Holland back. We expect Sams to contribute significantly on the mound as well this year. The league is wide open as many teams have high end, top starters. It should be interesting and competitive, similar to last year.

2026 Outlook: Last season we finished the season 7-13, we didn’t accomplish our goal of making it to the post season but I wouldn’t consider it an unsuccessful season. We lost a lot of seniors prior to coming into last year and needed guys to step up. The 2026 season is much of the same. The starting catcher from last year Ben Baneravage tore his ACL during basketball season and is done for the season. We have three returning starters who have seen varsity time last year which means there will be six new varsity starters this year. In order to be successful, we need both seniors and underclassmen to step up.
We need to play together as a team and not worry about individual numbers. We need to consistently throw strikes and play solid defense and not give opposing teams more than 3 outs in an inning. Offensively we need to pass the stick to the next person by doing whatever is called for: a sacrifice, hit and run, walk, ground ball to the right side and if we can do that will can be successful. Danny, Brody, and Gavin will be our leaders and the guys I will lean on, as well as who I look to guide our underclassmen.
Our goals every year are the same, we want to qualify for Districts and have an opportunity to qualify for league playoffs. However, that will not be easy at all when playing in Schuylkill League Division 1.

Brady Reph (Sr.) – .265 BA, .403 OBP, 18 Hits, 19 RBIs, 16 Runs, 35.1 IP, 4 Wins, 3.56 ERA – Brady is a versatile and solid all around player that will be asked to take another step forward at the plate and on the mound.
Luke Matsko (Sr.) – .463 BA, .500 OBP, 38 Hits, 6 Doubles, 16 RBIs (Tied School record with 32 singles) – Luke had an unreal season at the plate last year. He will look to put forth another strong year at the plate.
Alex Keiper (Sr.) – .273 BA, .403 OBP, 15 Hits, 13 Runs – Alex plays a tremendous outfield, and will switch to patrol center this year.
Greyson Ahner (Jr.) – .259 BA, .394 OBP, 14 Hits, 14 RBIs – Nobody grew more from Game 1, to the end of the season than Greyson. Greyson will look to continue his strong development behind the dish, and take a step forward at the plate.
Key Newcomers:
Gaige McGowan (Jr.) P/1B/DH
Colton Becker (Jr.) P/UTIL
Ben Negley (So.) P/OF
Lukas Rivera (So.) P/INF
Tegan Silfies (Jr.) P/OF
2026 Outlook: Our strength is our experienced Senior class, who leads like no other group I have had. Our weakness is our inexperienced role players, who will be asked to grow as the season progresses.
We have a balanced roster of experienced and inexperienced players. This team will be fun to coach, as many players are getting their first chance to make their mark at the varsity level. Nobody needs to replace or duplicate performance from last season, we just need to grow and focus on the job at hand each day. Not looking ahead, not getting too high or low, and taking it one day at a time will be the key to our success this season.

2026 Outlook: We return many starters from last year’s young team. We must replace the pitching losses of Grace and Grasso to remain competitive in the tough Division 1 of the Schuylkill League. Setlock will anchor the rotation but need young arms to emerge behind him to eat innings and throw strikes. Offensively, we must improve on below average hitting last year.
With a year of experience under their belt, our offense should improve from last year. We have good team speed which we must utilize to our advantage both on offense and defense. If we can score runs and develop a pitching staff behind Setlock, we should be in the playoff push again for the league and district.

Key Players Lost:
Conner Simms – P, SS
Returning Players:
Chris Vargo – Senior, CF / P
Chris will be a leader for our team this season. He is expected to log significant innings on the mound while also serving as a catalyst for our offense. His experience, athleticism, and ability to impact the game in multiple ways will make him a key piece of our lineup and pitching staff.
Coy Daubert – Senior, 3B / P
Coy is a consistent all-around offensive producer. He brings a strong on-base presence, a powerful swing, and excellent speed on the basepaths. In addition to his offensive contributions, Coy will be an important member of our pitching staff this season.
Parker Schaffer – Junior, SS / P
Parker has all the tools to represent our program at an All-League level. He hits for average, shows impressive power, and has a strong understanding of the game. On the mound, he features a powerful fastball and commands his off-speed pitches well. Defensively, he anchors the middle infield and serves as a floor general for the team.
Brayden Buskirk – Senior, C
Brayden is the leader behind the plate for us. Last season he was instrumental in controlling the opposing running game, and we expect that strength to continue this year. Offensively, he will set the tone at the top of our lineup, using his speed to create opportunities on the basepaths.
Landon Cougle – Senior, 1B / 3B
Landon is a defensive standout for our team. His glove is among the best we have seen at Northern Lehigh, and his reliability in the field provides tremendous stability for our infield defense. We look forward to him continuing to be a key contributor this season.
Avery Kabrick – Sophomore, OF / 1B / P
Avery is a complete player who will fill several important roles for us this year. Offensively, he has the ability to drive the baseball while also excelling at the small details of the game, including situational hitting and small ball. On the mound, he will be asked to take on a significant number of innings for the team.
Braedon Dougherty – Senior, DH / 1B
Braedon has been a pleasure to coach and has put in tremendous work to develop his game. Last season he emerged as a powerful hitter, and he has continued to build on that progress. We expect him to have a big year at the plate and serve as an anchor in the middle of our lineup.
Jayden Christman – Senior, Utility / P
Jayden is a versatile and dependable player who can contribute at multiple positions across the field. His team-first mentality allows him to fill whatever role is needed. Over the offseason he focused heavily on developing his power at the plate, and the results have been noticeable. We are excited to see how that translates into game performance this season.
Pablo Rivera – Sophomore, SS / 2B / P
Pablo is an extremely talented player who is beginning to put all the pieces together. With added strength and physical development, his impact is becoming more evident both at the plate and on the mound. He has always had the tools, and we are excited to see him continue growing into his potential.
Key Newcomers:
Chase Gall – C / OF
Chase has put the work in, brought a great attitude and it’s paying off for him. Athletic, Fast, Strong he will be someone to watch the next two years.
2026 Outlook: We return a strong core of players this season, led by a group of experienced seniors who have invested a significant amount of time and effort into the program. This team has consistently shown up, worked hard, and committed itself to improving every day throughout the year.
For the first time since I began coaching the Bulldogs, I see a group that truly has the capability to take the next step. The talent and ability are there, but ultimately our success will come down to the mindset of our players.
We have spent a great deal of time focusing on our culture—building accountability, developing strong habits, and most importantly, creating belief. Belief in themselves, belief in one another, and belief that we can compete and win baseball games.
In addition to our experienced returning players, our underclassmen have shown tremendous dedication to their development. Their work ethic and commitment to the program have been impressive, and we expect several of them to contribute in meaningful ways this season.
Defensively, we expect to be strong, and we return the majority of an offense that averaged 7.2 runs per game last year. Our players have dedicated themselves to becoming bigger, faster, and stronger, and that commitment should show on the field.
If our pitching staff continues to develop and perform, we believe this team has the potential to take the next step and continue building Northern Lehigh into a respected baseball program.

Dom will enter the year as one of our most experienced players, having started both his 9th and 10th grade campaigns. He has had a great off season and we are hoping that pays off for him throughout the season. He enters as one of our top pitching options as well as one of our best bats and looks to build on his 3.77 ERA from last year.
Andrew Allen Jr 5′ 10 165 SS/P Andrew will also enter the year as a junior who will be a 3 year starter. He batted .288 last year with 13 runs scored. He finished last year as one of our best hitters, finishing the season batting .338. We are hopeful for another solid campaign from Max both as a hitter and a pitcher.
Brody Eroh Jr 5’7 165 OF Brody had a great 10th grade year as he became an everyday starter in the outfield. He will play multiple OF positions this year. Brody had a solid year and will look to build on his final results, which included batting .238 and 10 stolen bases.
Harrison Ciavarella Jr 5’9 180 C/OFHarrison will make the transition from OF to C this upcoming season. He had very good sophomore year that saw him bat .314 and have 9 RBI, including a walk-off hit in last year’s opener.
Landon Trout Soph 5’10 185 OF/IF/P Landon worked his way into the line-up as a 9th grader and never looked back in 2025. He ended the year with a .298 average, as well as 5 appearances on the mound. He will be one of our top pitchers and hitters coming into this season.
Christian Alvarez. Senior 6’3 170 1B Christian played multiple positions as a junior before settling into being our top first baseman. The lone senior starter, Christian provides a quiet leadership style and a steady presence to help enhance our infield defense.
Key Newcomers: Danny Markus Soph 5’9 145 IF/P Danny will be pushing for time at all infield positions as well as time on the mound as the season begins. He had a very solid 9th grade year, and has come into the season strong. We really like what Danny brings to our program.
2026 Outlook: We are reaching a point where many of our players have started for multiple years. We are hoping that wee can take the next step in our journey towards a successful season. We lost seven 1 run games last year, so, perhaps we can change that around a bit this coming year. Health will be a major factor as our depth is young and inexperienced at this point.

2026 Outlook: The strength of the 2026 team will be the valuable experience the players received last year. 11 returning players on the 2026 roster played valuable innings during the season in 2025. We also return 122 innings on the mound (out of 175).
We need to ensure the success of 2025 does not affect how hard we work each day at practice. Understanding that previous success does not always translate into success the next season.. We will get a great look at some of the younger players in Florida when we go for Spring Training. I am hoping to get a lot of practice and scrimmages in Florida that will help get us off to a great start.
The goals of the season are to remain healthy and get better each day. The players need to accept the roles they are given, and do what is best for the success of the team. The team is looking to build upon our post season run in 2025 to play for championships in 2026.

Returning Players:
Jayse Lawrence-Senior-.403 29 hits 19runs 9 SB
Jayse is a team first player and will play wherever the team needs him. He was our best hitter towards the end of our season, coming up with some huge hits. He is very fast on the bases and we will need him on base at the top of our order. He is one of the captains of the baseball team.
Cole Dietz-Senior -.383 23 hits 15runs 20RBIs 9SB
Cole was one of our best hitters last season, especially with runners in scoring position. He is a tough out in the batter’s box and puts the ball in play. He is one of our best defensive infielders. He will be counted on to pitch more this year.
Aiden Solt-Senior-.279 10runs 17 hits
Aiden is a coach’s dream to coach. He is one of the hardest workers in the program and is also a captain on the team. He played almost every position for us last year. Most games he didn’t know where he playing until gametime.
Cody Snyder-Junior-.362 27runs 21hits 17RBIs 3HR 2triples 18SB

Newcomers:
Brady Stubits-Senior-Brady pitched 19 innings for us last year. We will need him to start many games for us this year on the mound. He has good velocity and has looked great so far.
Landon Abelovsky-Senior-Landon played some games in the outfield last year. He is very fast and covers lots of ground.
Pierce Goida-Junior-Pierce will be our starting catcher this year. He is a hard worker and continues to get better behind the plate. He is very coachable and we are looking for him to lead our staff.

Braylon Hunsicker-Sophomore-2B/OF
Chase Llewellyn-Sophomore-OF/P
Brayden Ulshafer-Sophomore-OF/C

2026 Outlook: Last year we finished 9-12 and earned a trip to the district playoffs for the third straight year. We need to replace both of our top two pitchers and our starting catcher. With very few kids having varsity level experience it will be a challenge. However, I really like this younger group and they will push the older kids for more playing time. Our goal this year is to get better every game and hopefully get the chance to make the district playoffs.

Logan Rasmussen – Outfield (Graduated Early)
Key Returning Players:
Aidan Cruz – Sr., 3B/C, .433, 3 doubles, 3 triples, 1 homerun, 20 RBI
– A First Team All–Mountain Division EPC selection in 2025, Aidan returns as our top offensive contributor. He will anchor the defense at third base while also providing depth behind the plate with spot starts at catcher in 2026. His versatility and production make him a key piece of our lineup this season.
Jacob Markowski – Sr., C/P, .345, 3 doubles, 14 RBI, .464 OBP
– A First Team All–Mountain Division EPC selection in 2025, Jacob returns as our top defensive catcher (zero errors in 2025) last season, while also breaking out offensively in a major way. In 2026, he will anchor the lineup and serve as our starting catcher, while also logging innings on the mound as a valuable two-way contributor.
Alex Perez – Jr., 1B/P, .410, 3 doubles, .477 OBP
-Alex’s strong 2025 season was cut short after 14 games due to Tommy John surgery. Now fully healthy, he should make a significant impact in 2026. We expect him to be in the middle of the lineup while also contributing high-leverage innings on the mound as he returns to pitch.
Luke Domboroczky – So., OF, .353, 1 double, .455 OBP
A midseason call-up as a freshman, Luke stepped in and provided solid defense in the outfield while contributing quality at-bats in the bottom third of the lineup. His composure and production as a young player were encouraging signs, and in 2026, we anticipate an expanded role and will look for increased offensive production as he works his way toward the top of the order.
Aaron Smith – Sr., P
Aaron will step into a key role as one of our starting pitchers in 2026. The left-hander looks to build on the experience he gained during limited action in 2025 and take on a leadership role within the pitching staff.
Key Newcomers:
Vincent Iracane – Sr., OF/P
Michael O’Donnell – So., SS/3B/P
Sam Rabbitt – So., Utility
Greyson Fuller – So., Utility
Acosta, Eli – Jr., INF
Almonte, Anthony – Jr., INF/P
Banning, Rylan – Jr., OF
Miller, Brayden – Jr., INF/P
Palys, Kayden – Jr., INF/P
Cunningham, Connor – So., OF
Long, Damien – So., INF/P
Tucker, Orion – Fr., OF/P
2026 Outlook: Our offense is predicted to take a significant step forward in 2026. Injuries late in the 2025 season limited our production and impacted our ability to sustain momentum down the stretch. With improved health and consistency, we expect to field a much more consistent and productive lineup this spring.
Our biggest question mark entering the season is the pitching rotation. We will need to replace more than 115 innings from last year’s staff and return just five innings of varsity experience in 2026. Developing consistency on the mound will be critical to our overall success. If our pitching staff can establish itself and grow into their roles, we believe we will position ourselves to compete for a playoff berth once again.

Josiah Kuhns: Sr P/OF: Josiah comes into this season as a front runner to lead our pitching staff. He had success towards the back half of our season a year ago and we will lean on him this year as top rotation arm.
Nate Nunez: UTIL- As a 4 year starter, Nate will look to continue where he left off at the top of our lineup. Getting on base and stealing bases will be key to our run production as a team.
Dominic Gracia: P/INF: Dom had a key role last year in our pitching staff and we look for that role to grow this season. Dom will also play a key role in the middle of our lineup offensively.
Garret Leiner: SS/P: As a sophomore, Garrett had a lot of success but we will rely on him to continue to progress offensively as he will anchor the middle of our infield.
Key Newcomers:
Leogan Kao: So. 5’7″ INF/P
Tanner Kuder: So, 5’9″ C
Isaac Gross: So, 5’8″ P/UTIL
2026 Outlook: Losing nine seniors from a season ago leaves question marks but with key arms returning to our pitching staff we think that will be our strength. Offensively, we have a lot of holes to fill throughout our lineup from a year ago so we will rely on a few guys to step up and produce.

2026 Outlook: Our strengths is that we return six of our 9 starters from last year in addition to a jr class (sophomores last year) who played a lot of innings. We bring that experience to the table. The question marks will be which of the guys (new and old) can step up and fill the roles that we need to replace.
