Head Coach: Kathy Levins

Team Name: Jim Thorpe

Key Players Returning:
Hannah Zacharias, Senior, C/1B/OF – Hannah was a force last season boasting the teams high BA and OBP. She will continue to bring that force with her this season at the plate, will bring speed to the OF, and efficiency at first base. Our only Senior this season, she will play with heart and lead by example on the field.

Madison Schwartz, Junior, P/OF/UT – Maddie returns and will be the key part of our pitching staff. We will look to her to step in to take a leadership role on the team this season. She is a versatile player and can get the job done in both IF and OF. She brings a hard-working mindset to the team, a no quit attitude and high softball IQ.
Isabella Sully, Junior, C/IF – Bella returns and will bring her big bat along with her. An integral part of our catching staff, ing consistency to the plate. She brings great work ethic to the field, leads by example, and gives it her all in every area of the game.

Kelsie Huff, Junior, P/OF – Kelsie will return and see more playing time in the circle as our only lefty. She brings a lighthearted and fun energy to the team.

Ryah Confer, Sophomore, C/OF – Ryan will return after a successful Freshman season as a key part of our catching staff. She will provide speed and range in the OF. She will be a force at the plate and can hit a long ball or play small ball. She brings versatility to the field and has a cannon behind the plate.
Julianna Frantz, Sophomore, IF – Jules returns after a successful Freshman season as a key middle infielder. She brings consistency to the plate. She brings dedication and willingness to learn, which is why she will be a key factor in our lineup this season.

Gloria Strohl, Sophomore, 1B/P – Gloria will return after a successful Freshman season as our starting 1B and will also see time in the circle this season. Gloria will be a key factor in our batting lineup. She brings a good work ethic, and a big bat to the lineup. We can’t wait to see her add to her HR record this season.

2026 Outlook: four talented starting seniors each with multiple years of experience should provide leadership on and off the field, Underclassmen with varsity experience, and an Incoming class of freshman with great talents is a definite strength – along with great versatility in all positions. How quickly the underclassmen mature into varsity level softball would be a question for the team

Last Year’s Record: 9-11 2-10 league

Key returnees:
Caroline Breslin OF-Senior-.255 13 singles, 12 RBI- Caroline brings great speed and athleticism to our outfield. Her speed will also be an asset to us offensively.

Ava Alabovitz -Senior-P, infield- .250 4 singles, 2 doubles, 1 triple, 4 RBI Ava was again resilient and battled through injuries last season. She is healthy now and we expect her to see more time as a pitcher this season. Offensively she will provide leadership and power in our lineup.

Janessa Prudente-Junior P, SS- .342 8 singles, 1 double, 3 triples,1 HR 13 RBI- We will be looking for Janessa to hit for consistency and get on base. Janessa is a versatile player who will also see time on the pitchers mound and in the infield at the Shortstop position.

Brooklynn Mika-.Junior-.267, 7 singles, 3 doubles, 2 triples, 19RBI- Brooklynn has worked hard during the off-season and we feel that she will provide additional power in the middle of our line up. Defensively she will see time at 3rd base

Megan O’Brien- Junior-.213, 7 singles, double, triple 15RBI- Megan will again make an impact defensively as she can play both infield and outfield. She will also provide power near the top of our line up.

Isabella D’Ancona-Sophomore- .270, 3 singles, 3 doubles, triple, 3HR, Isabella provided much needed power in our batting line up and was second on the team in HR. She will bat in clean up and defensively will play first base and may see time as a pitcher.

Paige Goida-Sophomore- Pitcher- Paige pitched 26.2 innings last season and had 27 strikeouts. We are looking for her to see more time in the circle this season and make an impact

2026 Outlook: We enter this season with a mix of experience and emerging talent. Our returning veteran players will provide stability both offensively and defensively. Their understanding of the game, composure under pressure, and commitment to team culture will set the tone early in the season. In the circle, we expect more consistent pitching that attacks hitters and trusts the defense behind it. Defensively our focus remains on playing clean, disciplined softball where routine plays are made with confidence. Offensively, we aim to be both aggressive and smart at the plate with an emphasis on quality at-bats. With improved depth throughout the roster, we have flexibility to adjust and our season goal is to have a winning season and make a run into the district playoffs.

2026 Outlook: We as a team have an entire team of starters returning from last year. We are small in numbers, but mighty in experience. We are anchored by a ton of girls with leadership qualities.

It is going to be tough competition this season but our mentality is going to focus on the details, be inwardly focused on us, and go into each day with a 0-0 record. This group of girls is really special and they get along great with a ton of support from our softball community.

2026 Outlook: The 2026 season outlook is promising. We return a strong core group of seniors who have developed into outstanding leaders and remain hungry to accomplish more in their final season. Surrounding them is a solid supporting group of players who have experience and others who are ready to step into important roles and help fill key positions.

This blend of veteran leadership and developing talent gives us depth and balance as we move into the season. If we continue to work, grow, and compete the way we expect from our program, we believe we can be a team that challenges at every level of competition in 2026.

Natalie Lilly, Junior, 5’7, CF,3B, AVG .375 24HS, 72B, 33B, 1 HR 25 RBIs 23Rs Natalie is an exceptional centerfielder and leader on and off the field. She has elite speed and we are looking for her to add a spark at the top of the lineup.

Rachel Fisher, Junior, 5’7, P,OF, AVG.421, 16H 4RBIs. Rachel has great speed in the outfield, is a competitive pitcher and has power at the plate.

Emily Szcezpanski, Junior, 5’6, P, OF, AVG.339, 19H, 32B,13RBIs, 18Rs. Emily has a high softball IQ. Looking for her to continue to dominate on the mound and continue to hit in the top of the lineup.

Riley Palank, Sophomore, 5’6 , SS,.395AVG, 30Hs, 52B, 73B, 3HR, 21RBIs, 28Rs. Riley is an exceptional defensive player. Looking for Riley to take over the shortstop role. Hits for power and average.

Gabby Apgar Sophomore, 5’8, 3B, .300AVG, 12H, Gabby is a good defensive player. We are looking for her to take on a bigger role offensively.

Key Players Lost: We lost seven seniors. All of them were integral aspects of the team. We have a lot of work to do with filling new positions this season.

Key Returning Players:
Rylan Knapp (11) SS; Batting- .338 ,17 RBI’s, Fielding- .891; Rylan is a force on the field and she leads the team with confidence.

Maddie Abbatiello (11) P/1B; Batting- .411 , 15 RBI’s, Fielding- .750, Pitching- ERA 7.53; Maddie was someone I could fully depend on in our line-up, she is a solid hitter who gets on base consistently.

Key Newcomers:
Mia Battaglino (9) C; Mia is going to be a key player for us for the next 4 years. She is a solid catcher and I have confidence that she will help to lead the field and be a dependable hitter in our line-up.

2026 Outlook: We have a good core group coming back who work together well and I think this years incoming varsity players will mesh well and we will have a cohesive group. We have low numbers this year so we will have some double rostered players and have to plan for potential injures and make sure our players are taking care of their arms and have rest days.

2026 Outlook: Pitching is still our strength. We did lose a lot of good hitters from our team last year, but this group of juniors can hit and will do a good job of making up some of the bats that we lost last year.
