A look back at Freedom’s 2020 District XI Basketball Championship

The wait is finally over for the Freedom Boys basketball team, after capturing the schools’ first District XI title since 1976. The feat happened on the final day of February, but they really never had a chance to celebrate together because of the shutdown from Covid-19.

Veteran Head Coach Joe Stellato along with one of his assistants, Marc Corsi, joined the Podcast to talk about their milestone along with how their team came together during the season.

A dream season that brought the community together and are hoping to have some kind of celebration later in the summer because of the delay due to the Coronavirus. For Stellato, it was a great moment for the long-awaited title, but he wanted the Championship for the team, Athletic Director, Principal, and the community.

And now, with the title finally in hand, all can celebrate for years to come.
