Allentown Central Catholic High School announces Alex Albertson as the New Head Coach of ACCHS Viking Boys Lacrosse

Allentown PA – Allentown Central Catholic High School is excited to announce Alex Albertson as the new Head Coach of the ACCHS Boys Lacrosse team. Coach Albertson brings years of playing experience and a passion for the sport of Lacrosse.

Albertson is stepping into the position most recently held by Will Odenthal who is retiring. Odenthal spent two years as an Assistant Coach under Dan Dolphin, and three years as the Head Coach. Our Allentown Central Catholic family is grateful and blessed for Odenthal’s dedication and commitment to our successful Boys Lacrosse program.

Alex Albertson was a three-year Lacrosse Captain at Parkland High School. He was an Under Armour All-American, three-time EPC 1st Team, and three-time Morning Call All Area 1st Team. Albertson graduated from High Point University with a BSBA in 2023 and an MBA in 2024. He played Lacrosse for four years at High Point University where he was also Captain of the team. Albertson spent two years at ACCHS as the Assistant Coach/Defensive Coordinator at which time the Vikings were both the 2024 and 2025 2A District XI Champions. Additionally, he coached Club Lacrosse for Headstrong and True Lacrosse from 2021-2024.

Albertson will oversee aspects of maintaining a successful, competitive and safe athletic high school Boys Lacrosse program by providing instruction on fundamentals of the game. During his tenure at ACCHS, he oversaw team practices, game preparation, and player development. He built and maintained positive working relationships with our ACCHS student athletes.

Albertson’s approach is to be a positive, enthusiastic educator and coach with a focus on the success of his students and players. As a well-respected leader, he strives to bring together meaningful communication between teachers, parents and the community. ACCHS is excited and honored to welcome Coach Alex Albertson to lead our historically successful Viking Lacrosse program.
