2025 Boys Tennis Preview: Bethlehem Catholic HS

Head Coach: Dan Arkans, 2nd year

Sport: Tennis (B)

Team Name: Bethlehem Catholic

League: EPC

2024 Record: 8-8

Key Players Lost: Xavier Shive-Sanchez, John Vallance (1 and 2 singles)

Key Returning Players:
Liam Maloney, Jr., Co-Captain, No. 1 singles, He has the game for first singles, he just needs to learn the mentality of it. He has high goals for this season.

Kendryk Silva, So., No. 2 singles, it’s a big leap for Kendryk from doubles and I think he’s ready for it. He has a solid baseline game to frustrate plenty of players.

Tyler Lennert, Sr., No. 3 singles, Tyler is the perfect No. 3 singles player in my mind. It might not always be pretty, but I think it will get the job done.

Derrick Hartman, So., Ralston Rowlands, So.-No. 2 doubles. I believe this will be the No. 2 doubles team. I often joke at practice the best doubles team is Derrick and anyone else. I think these guys just need how to play aggressively.

Nico Massa, So. Nico is a great kid and is always trying to improve.

Key Newcomers:
Joey Magiur, So., Magiur actually came out late last year. He’s picked up the game really quickly.

Kolby Mease, Fr., Kolby has been working hard since the summer. He’s new to tennis, but is a hard worker and is constantly improving

Brady Jones, So.. I am very excited about Brady. He just recently came out for the team and is already in the mix to play plenty. He might be one of the best athletes on the team.

2025 Outlook: I think the strength of the team is their willingness to learn. It might sound like coach speak, but we are still growing our program in a very difficult league. We are just a 2A school playing the likes of Parkland and Liberty. I hope we can take the punches and keep on ticking.
