The Lady Eagles tennis team walked off Pottsville’s court last night with a 5-0 win. Lauren Gumear defeated Strauss 6-4, 7-5. Lily Wright continued and won 6-2, 6-1, followed by Kate Rubinkam winning 6-3, 6-0. Blue Mountain’s record just keeps getting better, now 8-3.

Blue Mountain Racks Up Another Win

Blue Mountain’s girls tennis team traveled to Tamaqua on Tuesday, September 22nd for a great match. The girls swept Tamaqua 5-0. Lauren Gumaer won by walkover, Lily Wright defeated her opponent 6-0, 6-0, and Kate Rubinkam kept the rally going with scores of 6-0, 6-0. After this match, the team’s record is 7-3.

Blue Mountain Boys Take Jim Thorpe

The boys soccer team defeated Jim Thorpe on Tuesday September 22nd with a score of 2-1. Jude Harris scored the first goal for Blue Mountain. Caught in a tie in the second half, Derek Burcik helped his team take the lead once again with Blue Mountain’s second goal. The Blue Mountain Boys soccer team remains undefeated this season.
