Canes Roll By Hornets In Varsity Volleyball

Emmaus and Liberty boys’ varsity volleyball faced off Monday night at Emmaus High School. The first set Emmaus came out ready to win. Starting out to a quick 5-0 lead. They would add 7 more to make it 12-3 and force a second timeout. Emmaus would win that set 25-11.

In the second set Liberty did exactly what they needed to do. They got out to an early lead and didn’t give Emmaus a chance in that set. Liberty took set two by a score of 25-17 Liberty tied the sets 1-1.

The third set was extremely competitive. Emmaus didn’t want to give up. Liberty brought their A game and they won the hustle battle as well. All of the hustle and effort turned out to be a third set victory for the Canes. Liberty now led 2 sets to 1, only needing 25 points for a win. Liberty got those 25 points winning set 3 25-18. Liberty wins 3 sets to 1 and will take on William Allen on Friday May 3rd. For Emmaus they look to bounce back as they will take on Nazareth on Wednesday.
