Lilah Guthy was brilliant in the pitcher’s circle on Tuesday, as Guthy threw a no-hitter to lead the Stroudsburg Mountaineers Varsity past Pocono Mountain West 12-0.

The Mountaineers got things started in the first inning. Chloe Carmella drove in one when Carmella singled.

Stroudsburg Mountaineers Varsity notched five runs in the second inning. Ciara Longo, Guthy, Natalie Berwick, and Haleigh Mazol each had RBIs in the big inning.

Guthy earned the win for Stroudsburg. Guthy surrendered zero runs on zero hits over five innings, striking out 11 and walking one.

F Deloe took the loss for Pocono Mountain West. The hurler lasted four innings, allowing 12 hits and 12 runs.

Stroudsburg Mountaineers Varsity saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game. Longo, Bailey Goldberg, and Carmella each racked up multiple hits for the Mountaineers Varsity. Carmella, Goldberg, and Longo each managed two hits to lead the team. They didn’t commit a single error in the field. Janine Crawford had 12 chances in the field, the most on the team.
