Minersville softball looks for success with a new head coach

Minersville has 10/16 players as underclassmen along with a new head coach, Kate Rittenbaugh. She takes the reins of the small rostered Minersville program as her first high school coaching job. Junior Grace Sterner, Senior Payton Frantz, and Sophomore Isabella Rizzardi joined Rittenbaugh at Schuylkill League Softball Media Day. Minersville is one of the most successful programs in Pennsylvania with their 10 State Championships, and those 3 players want to add to that this season. Coach Rittenbaugh wants her young players to get some varsity experience so they can excel at that level throughout the years to come. Below is a preview of the 2025 Minersville Battlin’ Miners Softball team.
