Nazareth Vs. Bethlehem Central Catholic Boys Tennis

Yesterday, the Blue Eagles took on the Golden Hawks in boys tennis. Nazareth came out on top with an overall team score of 5-2. First Singles was Nazareth’s Alex Rodriguez against BECA’s Curt Gruber. Curt Gruber won with the set scores being 6-0, 6-0.

Second Singles was played by Nazareth’s David Araujo and Beca’s Armaan Makwana. Armaan Makwana won with the set scores being 6-1, 6-1.

Third Singles was played by Nazareth’s Ilias Phanzu and Beca’s Anthony Barczynski. Ilias Phanzu won with the set scores of 6-3, 6-0.

First Doubles was played by Nazareth’s Jordan Wagner and Alex Witkowski against Beca’s Zack Schmalz and Patrick Core. Jordan Wagner and Alex Witkowski won their eight-game pro set with the set score being 8-2.

Second Doubles was played by Nazareth’s Nick Dawe and Alay Patel against Beca’s Josh Maruscak and Dan Smith. Nazareth won the match with the set scores of 6-4, 7-5.

Third Doubles was played by Nazareth’s Ishaan Patel and Logan Baltz against BECA’s John Vallance and Charlie Paris. Nazareth won the match with the set scores of 6-2, 6-1.

Fourth Doubles was played by Nazareth’s Sai Pulavarthy and Akash Adavan against BECA’s Ethan Dihello and Xavier Sanchez-Shive. Nazareth won the match with the set scores of 6-4, 6-3. The match today was very interesting to watch. Make sure to check out both of the teams and good luck to them in the rest of their seasons.
