Nazareth’s Offense Finds Its Wings Against Whitehall

After two underwhelming offensive performances for Nazareth, they finally found their footing and put up eight total touchdowns against Whitehall.  Although QB Anthony Harris only played the first half, he accounted for four total touchdowns, two through the air and two on the ground.  Those four scores, as well as Braden Mehlig’s rushing touchdown and Nate Stefanik’s 41-yard punt return touchdown, allowed Nazareth to put up 42 first-half points.

Nazareth fans also got to see some of Nazareth’s future.  QB/K Matt Bugbee ran for an eight-yard touchdown and chucked a 45-yard pass to WR Nolan Lobb.  Tyler O’Hagan had a dominant night as well, recording two receiving touchdowns, both of which were 40 yards or more.  Nazareth’s defense held RB Ali Barkley in check, keeping him under 100 yards. He did break loose for a 46-yard touchdown run.  Nazareth also sacked Jaeden Romero three times for -20 yards.

Nazareth travels to William Allen next week before their final game against Easton on October 25th at Andrew S. Leh Stadium.  In the following weeks, seeds for the District XI playoffs are up for grabs and Nazareth controls their own destiny to hopefully grab the top spot.
