Open Positions Available in ACCHS Viking and Vikette Soccer Program

Allentown PAAllentown Central Catholic High School announces two employment opportunities available for the ACCHS Viking and Vikette Soccer program. ACCHS is seeking experienced head soccer coaches for both the boys’ and girls’ programs. Individuals should have experience in coaching high school level scholar athletes; as well as be knowledgeable in PIAA rules and regulations. Coaches must be able to instruct and supervise students and assistant coaches, willing to develop fundamental technique, teach strategies, and provide team building skills. Candidates must be organized, have communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to promote good sportsmanship and student development.

Candidates must have clear records of Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check (PATCH), Pennsylvania Child Abuse History, and Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal Background Fingerprint Check as required under Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Act 153 of 2014 (No less than 1 year old.) Allentown Central Catholic thanks Coach Rob Spatzer who oversaw the Vikette program for six seasons (2019-2024). Under his leadership, the Vikettes had an overall record of 100-24-9. The team made the EPC League tournament every year with two League Championship appearances (2023 & 2024), earning the EPC League Championship title in 2024. Under Coach Spatzer’s leadership, the Vikettes also made six consecutive District XI final appearances, earning two District Championships (2020 & 2021). Vikette Soccer made three PIAA appearances during Coach Spatzer’s tenure, reaching the State Semifinals twice (2020 & 2024); winning the PIAA 2A State Championship in 2021. Coach Spatzer was voted “EPC Coach of the Year” in 2019 and 2024; “Lehigh Valley Live Coach of the Year” in 2020, “Morning Call Coach of the Year” in 2021, PIAA 2A “Coach of the Year” in 2021, and United Soccer Coaches (USC) Pennsylvania and East Region Private/Parochial School Coach of the Year.

ACCHS is also grateful to Coach Taylor Holko who oversaw the Viking program for seven seasons (2018-2024). Under his leadership, the Vikings overall record was 75-59-6. The Viking team earned the District XI 2A Championship in 2021, were State Tournament 2A Quarter-finalists in 2021, and were the District XI 2A Runner-Up in 2022. Coach Holko was Morning Call “Coach of the Year Boys Soccer” in 2021.

Allentown Central Catholic is grateful and blessed for the dedication of both Coach Spatzer and Coach Holko; their legacy of sportsmanship, leadership and victory are the foundation of the ACCHS athletic program.
