Sport: Soccer (B)

Team Name: Parkland Trojans

League: EPC

2024 Record: 25-3

Key Players Lost: We lost 14 seniors from the team that competed in the 2024 PIAA State Championship (Cristian Cusumano, Derin Olatilo, Zach Reidy, Logan Williams, Dylan Rochus, Ramy Chakar, Jacob Silman, Nathan Park, Zach Sallit, Kyle Tobia). All of these young men certainly left their mark on the Parkland soccer program. Four of those players will be continuing their playing careers at the college level; Evan Sprunk (ESU), Caleb Daniels (Messiah University), Bryce Peters (Albright College) and Danny Sipling (Chestnut Hill College).

Key Returning Players: It sounds cliché, but this is our next class of versatile seniors who have been waiting their turn to leave their mark on the program; Kerem Adali, Lincoln Fritz, Tal Pollard, Chris Park, Anthony Bautista, Noah Dopera, James Whitehead and Ryan Bender.

Key Newcomers: We are fortunate to have a strong group of young players in 9th, 10th and 11th grade who will be working hard to work their way into the varsity line-up. The old saying “If you are good enough you are old enough” certainly applies here.

2025 Outlook: This season we will have a mixture of returning players who have big game experiences with some rising junior varsity players who are chomping at the bit to make their mark on the Parkland boys soccer program. I’m hoping that training with the 2024-2025 team puts them in a better position to meet the demands of playing in the EPC18 sooner rather than later. We will be a team that is very fit, players will have the ability to play in multiple positions and in a variety of tactical formations, they are excellent young men, brothers on and off the field.

We have an excellent coaching staff returning, so our job will be to create a training environment with a growth mindset; one that is physically demanding, mentally challenging, fun and supportive for all of the players in the program. We need to provide consistency to the boys as we focus daily on meeting and surpassing the standards of excellence established by previous Parkland teams and coaches.

Everyone knows the expectations of playing for and coaching at Parkland. We will continue to work diligently at being great students, becoming young men with great character, caring for our community and communities around us, building a strong team bond, continuing to create an environment that prepares boys to play at the college level and improving our craft as soccer players and coaches. Our end goal is to always compete for the League, District and State Championships.
