Phillipsburg Bowling Season Begins!

The bowling season was kicked off with the Greg Rottengen tournament on December 4, at Oakwood Lanes.
The teams competing in the tournament bowled three games with five bowlers each, trying to get the most pinfall.
For the girls, Franklin came in third place with an overall pinfall of 1955. Phillipsburg secured second place for the third year in a row with 2346. Warren Hills dominated with 2468.

Awards were given out for the top three highest games and series. The third-highest series was won by Phillipsburg’s Savannah Rutar with 573. Second place was earned by Phillipsburg’s Shannon Bickert with a 602. Coming in first was Landry Jonhson with 607.

For the girl’s third-highest game, Savannah Rutar shot a 223. The second-highest game was Landry Johnson with 234. Coming in first was Shannon Bickert with a 261.

At the end of the tournament, the teams selected a player to represent their team in Survivor. P’Burg’s Shannon Bickert came in first place.

The boys team in third place was Bridgewater-Raritan with 2723. The second place award was Montville with 3103. First place was Warren Hills with a 3306.

The Warren Hills boys swept the high series category. In third place was Matt Camerro with 694. The second-place finisher was Nate Pantuso with a 739. Coming in first was Brady Weilamann with a 752.

The third-place high game award was won by Connor Moran from Hunterdon Central with a 278. A tie for first was Nate Pantuso and Brady Weilamann with 279.

The boy’s survivor winner was Matt Camerro from Warren Hills.

The regular season will commence on Tuesday, December 5.
