Phillipsburg hosted Franklin on Thursday at BelPike lanes.
Going into the game, PBurg boys were looking to secure their second win of the season and they did just that. Game one was a close match, however, PBurg pulled out the win 828 to 815. In the next two games, Phillipsburg dominated against Franklin, winning game two by over 100 pins. Phillipsburg’s Marvin Jaquish shot the highest series for the boys with a 671.
The PBurg girls fought Franklin in game one and fell short of victory. In game two, PBurg fought back, winning 764 to 676. Game three determined the outcome of the match. Phillipsburg came out victorious, winning 883 to 678. Phillipsburg’s Shannon Bickert had the highest series for the girls with 595.
The Phillipsburg boys are now 2-2 on the season, while the girls are 4-0.
