2025 Outlook: We have a nice mix of talent in all our classes. We have more depth in some positions that we haven’t had that for a while. We’ll probably platoon a number of guys throughout the early part of the season and figure things out as we go. We don’t typically have a lot of competition at positions based on numbers and talent, but this year we have a guys that we think can help but will have to fight for time. As a coach, I’m excited about that. It should bring out the best, and it will show us who wants to compete and who is ok just being a part of the program.

We think we have quality pitchers, but we are thin. One of our top pitchers is coming off injury so until we can get him back, we need to have some of the newcomers step up and eat up some innings as well as our returners being aggressive and keeping pitch counts down. We have question marks behind the plate and in the infield which will get ironed out in scrimmages and practice. It will get figured out. We’ve got the right kids. As coaches we need to get them in the right positions to make them successful.
