Stroudsburg over Pocono Mountain West

Stroudsburg Mountaineers Varsity Softball secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the fourth inning. Paige Hromin, Haleigh Mazol, Ciara Longo, Natalie Berwick, Lilah Guthy, and Chloe Carmella all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Stroudsburg got things started in the first inning when an error from Pocono Mountain West scored two runs for the Mountaineers.

Stroudsburg Mountaineers Varsity scored nine runs in the fourth inning. The offensive firepower was led by Hromin, Mazol, Longo, Berwick, Guthy, and Carmella, all driving in runs in the frame.

Berwick was the winning pitcher for Stroudsburg Mountaineers Varsity. The righty lasted three innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out six and walking one. Guthy threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

A Ramos took the loss for Pocono Mountain West. The hurler surrendered 17 runs on 14 hits over five innings.

Stroudsburg Mountaineers Varsity racked up 15 hits on the day. Guthy, Mazol, Bailey Goldberg, Carmella, and Hromin all had multiple hits for Stroudsburg Mountaineers Varsity. Mazol and Guthy each collected three hits to lead Stroudsburg.
