The Hurricanes breeze to their first win of the season

The East Penn Conference Tennis season got underway on Monday afternoon with a full slate of action. Highlighting opening day on the court was Liberty hosting Whitehall, with the Hurricanes coming in as not only the defending league champions, but also as the 3-time defending District XI 3A champions.

Liberty took control quickly in this match as they set the tone as the three singles players jumped out to fast starts which eventually led to a 6-1 final score over the Zephyrs. Both teams get right back into action on Wednesday with Liberty (1-0) hosting Nazareth while Whitehall will travel to Bethlehem Catholic to take on the Golden Hawks.
