Three-peat for Slaters Basketball

The Bangor Slaters hosted the Catasauqua Rough Riders Saturday, January 16th in a boy’s basketball game. The Slaters had just won their first two games of the season and were going for a third.

In the first half, both teams were scoring back and forth. The top scorers for the Slaters in the first half were Gabe Zieba and CJ Miles. That was just the beginning of the baskets those two players would make throughout the game. As for the Rough Riders, Derek Troxell and Ty Reitz were the top scorers.

The first half of the game was very fast-paced and by the end, the Slaters were leading the Rough Riders 41-31.

Once the third quarter came, both teams were determined to outplay each other. Right as the third quarter was about to end, the Rough Riders make a three-pointer at the buzzer. Bangor still led Catasauqua, 51-47.

By the end of the game, the Slaters won over the Rough Riders 76-54. The top scorer of the game was Gabe Zieba with 32 points total.
