Key Returning Players:
Bernadette Gasser (So.) – No1 singles. D11 2A Singles Champion 2024. Bernadette has continued to work hard since last season and keeps evolving as a great singles player. She is set to take another step forward this season and anchor our strong singles lineup.
Madelyn Groff (Jr.) – No2 Singles. Co-Captain. 2023 and 2024 D11 2A Doubles Champion. 2024 EPC 2 singles tournament champion. 2024 2A State Doubles semifinalist. Maddie has been working hard all offseason to continue improving. She would be the number one singles player for the vast majority of teams. Contributes to our strong singles lineup.
Valentina Munoz (Jr.) – No3 Singles. Co-Captain. 2024 No3 Singles EPC Tournament Champion. 2024 D11 2A Doubles Champion. 2024 2A State Doubles Semifinalist. Val has continue improving and took another step forward over the offseason. She would be the no1 singles player on a lot of teams, let alone the no2 for nearly all teams. She was undefeated last season at no3 singles and we are counting on her consistency again this season.
Giada Montone (Jr.) and Julia Janis (Jr.) – No2 Doubles. Julia was part of our top doubles pairing last year and this year partners with Giada who moves up to the top pairing. They have both worked hard over the offseason and will anchor our strong doubles teams. Their athleticism and net play will make them hard to play against.
Carly Eisenhard (Jr.) and Charlotte Hood (So.) – No3 Doubles. Carly returns as part of our second double pairing. This season joined by Charlotte who moves up from no4 doubles. Both have worked very hard over the summer to improve their footwork and serves. Savvy doubles players who play the net strong will help contribute to our strong doubles.
Elizabeth Alvarado (Sr.) and Michaela Durie (Jr.) – No4 doubles. Both crack the starting lineup for the first time this year. They were great depth players last year and are looking forward to their chance to start. Both have worked very hard over the offseason and earned this opportunity.
Samantha Landry (Sr.), Izabella Waz (Sr.), Mia Muir (Jr.), and Emma de Gale (Jr.), and Lana Bui (Jr.) – Doubles Depth. Four really good doubles players who would be starting on the majority of teams. They will contribute to our strong team depths. They are ready to go if opportunities arise.
Key Newcomers: Simone Morton (So.), Ashlyn Greich (So.), Alyssa Stahlnecker (So.), and Victoria Rofaiel (So.) – hungry and full of potential. Stuck behind strong depth at the moment. They will continue working hard and improving over the course of the season ready for opportunities.
2025 Outlook: Our goal is to reach the 2A District finals in teams, singles, and doubles and give ourselves a chance to defend our three titles. If we can achieve that, we want to take a step further in states out in Hershey this season.
Our biggest strength will be our strong singles lineup. We match up against any team in District 11 with this lineup. Every time Bernadette, Maddie, and Val step on the court they have a good chance to win. They are tenacious and hungry to improve.
Doubles pairings will be new, but half our returning starters. I think they can play with anyone they face this season. If they can continue to gel and improve the sky will be the limit for this team. They would take some pressure off the singles lineup and make our team very hard to play.
