Week 6 – NFFLV chapter player of the week

Each week the National Football Foundation – Lehigh Valley Chapter, selects a high school football player of the week from its 33 local high schools. Players are listed below:

Week 6 – Christian Sapp, a wide receiver from East Stroudsburg South High school, had 8 receptions for 176 yards and 2 touchdowns. He broke the school record for career receptions and career receiving yards and beat undefeated Stroudsburg 69-7.


Past winners:

Week 1 – Richard Fraunheiser, a quarterback from Lehighton, threw for 5 touchdowns and 340 yards in a win over Panther Valley 40-12.

Week 2 – Jayden Williams, a running back from Allentown Central Catholic, rushed 23 times for 207 yards and 2 touchdowns in a win over Whitehall 34-13.

Week 3 – Matt Frauen Jr., a running back from Notre Dame (Green Pond) High School, rushed for 220 yards and 5 touchdowns in a win over Salisbury 51-22.


Week 4 – Matt Bugbee, a senior quarterback from Nazareth Area High School, was 18-21 passing for 184 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also ran for a 2-yard touchdown in a 21-0 win over Bethlehem Catholic High School.

Week 5 – Isiah Rico, a running back from Parkland High School, rushed 17 times for 152 yards and 3 touchdowns in a win over Whitehall 41-24.
