Outlook: Last year, our team was very young and inexperienced. Without having many middle school programs to depend on in our district, players often come to us with minimal to no prior experience. With only having lost 3 seniors, I am optimistic that majority of the players from our team will return, allowing us to continue growing collectively both as individuals and as a team.
Because the players we lost were primarily defense, I am looking forward to preparing other players to fill those vacancies. Furthermore, I believe our upcoming seniors will become strong leaders that will build trustworthy relationships and provide their fellow teammates with guidance, help, and support. Our summer voluntary practices have also brought in a handful of new girls who have shown commitment and athleticism and can become great assets to our team.
