Wilson Area High School Announces James Arnone as First Head Girls Wrestling Coach

Wilson Area High School is proud to announce the appointment of James Arnone as the first Head Girls Wrestling Coach in school history.

Coach Arnone currently serves in the Wilson Area School District’s Information Technology Department and brings a wealth of wrestling experience to this new role. Over the past two seasons, he has been an assistant coach with the Wilson boys’ wrestling program under Coach Jeremy Hartrum and is the founder and advisor of the Warrior Wrestling Club.

Coach Arnone is well-prepared to lead and develop this emerging program. His wrestling background includes a standout career at Honesdale High School, where he was a four-time District 2 Placewinner and a two-time Lackawanna League Division 1 All-Star. Following his competitive career, he began coaching at his alma mater, gaining valuable experience in mentoring young athletes.

“We are excited to launch our girls wrestling program under the leadership of Coach Arnone,” said Jeffrey Breidinger, Wilson Area’s Athletic Director. “He brings a tremendous passion for the sport, a deep understanding of the wrestling community, and a clear commitment to building an inclusive and competitive team. Coach Arnone has already made a meaningful impact at Wilson, and we are confident he will lead this new chapter with energy, integrity, and vision.”
