Head Coach: Co-Head Coaches: Ed Andrescavage & Aaron Schock (5th Season)

Team Name: Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes

League: Schuylkill League (Division II)

2025 Record: 14-4 (Including League and District Championship Quad Matches) 2025 Schuylkill League Division II Champions

Key Players Lost: Michael Terefencko, TJ Adams, Daniel Fanelli

Key Returning Players:
Alan Evans: Senior, 2024 Schuylkill League Champion, District XI 3rd Place, PIAA 9th Place ; 2025 Schuylkill League Runner-Up, District XI Champion, PIAA Top 20. An all around solid golfer, Alan Evans has all the tools to be successful on any course. Look for Evans to once again contend for League, District, and PIAA medal honors as he finishes an accomplished high school career.

Chase Maley: Senior, Look for Chase Maley to be a key contributor for the Hurricanes this season. Improving year after year, Maley has the potential to earn League and District honors in his senior season.

Eli Barton: Junior, 2025 Schuylkill League 4th Place, District XI Qualifier. One of the most dedicated and committed golfers on the roster, look for Eli Barton to make a name for himself this season. In his third year as a varsity golfer, Barton will look to contend for League, District, and PIAA honors.

Guiliana Hughes: Sophomore, 2025 Schuylkill League 4th Place, District XI Qualifier. Guiliana Hughes will look to build on her accomplishments from a year ago. A gritty and determined golfer, look for Hughes to contend for League and District honors in her sophomore season.

2026 Outlook: A solid and seasoned top four consisting of Alan Evans, Eli Barton, Chase Maley, and Giuliana Hughes will lead the Hurricanes on the course this season. Look for the Hurricanes to contend for Schuylkill League and District XI team championships while pursuing multiple individual honors as well. Filling the final two varsity roster slots is still a question mark. Remaining healthy will be a key factor for the Hurricanes’ success.

2026 Outlook: We are very strong up top, but younger towards the 5th score. If we find a consistent 5th score, we should be very competitive within the league and districts.

Key Newcomers: Too early to tell who the newcomers will be for this year!! I have a lot of underclassmen that have signed up to try out. It is encouraging to see the rise in the number of athletes becoming interested in the sport of golf.

2026 Outlook: I feel our strengths would be that we have a good core of returning starters that have been dedicated to the program and working hard in the off-season to improve their skill set. Questions would be can the top five be consistently low 70’s to compete with the best programs in the highly competitive EPC and DXI.

2026 Outlook:
Strengths-Five letter winner returning golfers. Willing learners.

Weaknesses-inexperience and lack of tournament play.

Carter has really improved his game through hard work and preparation. He has high goals and willing to work to achieve them this season.

Jacob Rapp – Grade 11
23rd Place at Districts, 7th Place at EPC, 81.0 Scoring Average
Jacob gained valuable experience last season and he is looking to use that experience to reach new levels this season. He has worked hard in the offseason to improve his game.

Charles Gold – Grade 12
4th Place at District Qualifier, 77.1 Scoring Average
Charles is an extremely talented golfer with a high ceiling. He shot a low round of 68 last season. Charles possesses many strengths, and with continued growth in consistency, he is poised for great success this season.

Ryan Posocco – Grade 10
District Qualifier, 80.3 Scoring Average
Ryan made tremendous strides as the regular season progressed and emerged as a key contributor to our team’s success. He sets high standards for himself and possesses the dedication and work ethic necessary to reach his full potential. I am excited to see all that he will accomplish in the years ahead.

Matthew Torres – Grade 10
25th Place at EPC, 82.6 Scoring Average
Matthew gained valuable experience during last season and has used it as motivation to continue improving. He has dedicated himself throughout the offseason, putting in tremendous work to help achieve his goals. Given his commitment and determination, I fully expect him to make significant strides and have an outstanding season ahead.

Jacob Posocco – Grade 12
86.8 Scoring Average
Jacob is a talented golfer whose full potential has yet to be realized. As he enters his senior year, he is highly motivated to achieve success on the course and has demonstrated a strong commitment to reaching his goals.

Tommy Schimmer – Grade 10
83.0 Scoring Average
Tommy gained valuable experience throughout last season and is poised to make significant contributions to our team’s scoring this year. His consistency on the course and commitment to improvement will be key factors in his continued success.

Cole Yakubecek – Grade 12
83.0 Scoring Average
Cole has dedicated himself both on the range and on the course in preparation for his senior season. His hard work and commitment have positioned him for a successful year, and he is eager to make meaningful contributions to our team’s success.

Jack Duffy – Grade 11

2026 Outlook: We return a wealth of experience and leadership this season, and our depth will be one of our greatest strengths. With several players competing for spots in the starting lineup, competition will be strong throughout the year. Our challenging schedule, including Southern Lehigh, Notre Dame, and Northwestern in addition to our EPC slate, will prepare us well for postseason play.

2026 Outlook: We are returning with a young but seasoned team, still working on growing and improving with our process we have in place. Key Returning Players:
Evan Walter V Junior TWO time PIAA state qualifier, 2nd all EPC, Evan will compete to win leagues and district title this fall.

Silas Wellhoener Sr. had our second lowest round average on the team last year. Silas needs to finish strong last fall he fell off at the of the season.

Anderson Frances Jr. played our fours spot last fall but is expected to fight for the two spot this fall
Ella Bloszinsky Jr. finished 4th at EPC and 4th at Districts. My expectations is for Ella to qualify for States this fall. Top 3 girls will qualify

2026 Outlook: We will not be as deep this fall. Our tip 4 are solid but need two more to step up so we can compete for the 4th district spot.
