Outlook: Returning 4 of 5 starters from last year. Will have two top substitutes returning as well as Sr. Delaney Hilferty, a multi-sport athlete that will add depth in the post position. Sophomore Ashley Amato will increase her playing time from last year and is expected to be a big contributor JV team will be a mix up Frosh and upperclassman that will also get some valuable varsity action. We will also have a competitive Freshman team and 7/8 grade team, which is promising for the future.
Looking to build on last year’s record with a team that is very experienced but in a challenging division. District qualifying would be a reasonable goal for this team.
What is the key to your season?
Key to season is to find balanced scoring and better team defense. Our assist to turnover ratio up to this point can be better.
Who are your leaders on your team and why?
Team leaders are clearly Liv Marton at point as well as Trinity Williams. Both are college bound players and we look to both to be both vocal and floor leaders in practice and games.
Any newcomers that could impact your team this year and why?
Looking for depth and working different young players in to get some experience. Cora Anderson and Chesney Mosher are both Freshmen looming to challenge for some playing time.
