A Doubleheader Sweep for Nazareth Lacrosse

The Nazareth Blue Eagles kicked off the 2019 lacrosse season on a high note with the boys and girls posting convincing wins over Northwestern Lehigh. On a windy Saturday morning, the Nazareth boys scored early and often as did the girls en route to their first win of the year.

At Nazareth Area Middle School, Angelo Luzzetti led the charge with five goals helping the Blue Eagles post a 16-1 win over the Tigers, who were playing their first varsity game in lacrosse. Meanwhile, at Andrew S Leh Stadium, Jillian Kolakowski and Sophia Zelasko put on a dominating display as the Blue Eagles cruised to an easy 20-1 win over the Tigers, who were also debuting lacrosse as a varsity sport.

The Nazareth boys will host Northampton on Tuesday while the girls will travel to Easton. For Northwestern, the boys will be a Scranton Prep on Monday with the girls next game slated for March 30 against Liberty.
