Key Players Lost:
Jeremy Laureano – SS/P
Ethan Cramer – C
Jarred Cirillo – OF
Will Fish – OF

Key Returning Players:

Christian Maccarrone – Sr., INF/P, .324, 3 doubles, 1 triple, 2 home runs, .457 OBP

“An all-conference all-star in 2021, Christian will be penciled into the middle of the lineup and log meaningful innings on the mound as one of our top-of-the-rotation starting pitchers. An East Stroudsburg University commit, it is projected that Christian will be one of the top offensive threats in the league in 2022.”

Ross Huffman – Sr., P/1B/OF, 3.53 ERA, 33.2 IP, 25Ks, 3-1 Record

“Ross pitched dominantly in big games in 2021. In a must-win game against Bethlehem Catholic (4A District Champions), he threw a complete game, 2 hit shutout to help propel the Cavaliers into the 8th and final spot for the EPC playoffs. Ross will vie for the #1 spot in the rotation in 2022.”

Maximillian Liao – Sr., OF/P, .284, 2 doubles, triple, home run

“Solid defensively and a proven top-of-the-lineup bat, Max will be slated into the lineup as a high on-base percentage and stolen base threat again in 2022. Max turned in some of his best offensive numbers down the stretch in 2021 and will look to pick up where he left off as an all-conference all-star selection.”

Jerry Lambert – Jr., SS/2B, .306, 4 doubles, 4 triples, 7 SB, .411 OBP

“An all-conference all-star as a sophomore, Jerry proved to be a reliable bat at the top of the lineup with gap-to-gap extra-base hit power potential and stolen base capabilities. Jerry will be slated at the top to the middle of the Cavalier lineup in 2022 and man the shortstop position.”

Luke Randall – Jr., P/2B, 25.1 IP, 27 Ks, 4.14 ERA

“The Cavaliers most reliable and productive relief pitcher in 2021 (2.48 ERA), Luke turned in dominating performances in big games down the stretch. He will be counted on as a top-of-the-rotation pitcher in 2022. A strong defensive second baseman, Luke will be counted on to help anchor the middle of the infield and produce offensively in 2022.”

Key Newcomers:
Colby Mitchell – Jr., 1B/P
Marcus Henriquez – Jr., Utility
Noah Zerfoss – Jr., INF
Michael Johnson – So., C/INF
Shane Bulay – Jr., OF

2022 Outlook:

Team Strengths: “The Cavaliers return the majority of its 2021 EPC and District XI playoff team. The group is hungry and motivated to build on last season’s success. With three proven arms at the top of the rotation, pitching will factor into the success of the team. Offensively, the Cavalier lineup returns five of its most productive hitters from 2021 with a lot of team speed.”

Question Marks: “Consistency. The Cavaliers began the 2021 campaign with a 4-2 record and finished with a 5-2 record. Sandwiched between the solid start and finished to the season, a five-game losing streak saw the Cavaliers lose all five games by a combined seven runs, two games in extra innings. The team must learn to hold leads and finish games more consistently in 2022.”
