Emmaus Shave for the Brave

When people come together things get done. And that was the case once again at Emmaus High School on Friday, March 8, 2019. Students, faculty members, family and friends all in one place to take part in Emmaus Shave For The Brave. The event is a major fundraiser for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, and the turnout was amazing as those young and old took their part raising money to help make a difference for children with cancer.

 

The event began at Emmaus in 2010, raising almost $25,000 and has grown every two years, with this years total reaching $100,000. It takes a team to make that happen from not only the event organizers but also all of the barbers, sponsors, and volunteers that help make Shave For the Brave a huge success.

 

The Goal of $83,000 was easily reached and in the six events since 2010, Shave For The Brave has raised more than $355,000. The next event will happen in 2021 with the bar set high as the community looks to continue to do their part in helping to fight childhood cancer.
