Emmaus takes home the EPC Golf Championship

More than fifty golfers taking part in the East Penn Conference Golf Championship on Monday with all the action taking place at Olde Homestead in New Tripoli. The winner on the girls side came from Emmaus, with Michelle Cox being crowned the champion after shooting the best score of the day, 74. On the boys side, Nate Wheeler of Northampton and Aiden LeBlanc of Emmaus went to a one-hole playoff with Wheeler taking top honors after both shot a 75.

Nine of the fifty-plus golfers shot in the 70’s with Emmaus placing three golfers in that category. Jimmy Barker of Liberty shot a 76 while Charlie Long of Central Catholic finished with a 77. Emmaus would go on to take the league and tournament championships finishing with a team score of 310. Liberty would finish second at 322 and Nazareth would finish third with a score of 332.
