In their fifth game of the season, Collin Mckeague had a spectacular night. Overall he had 121 receiving yards, two touchdowns, along with an interception.
In the first quarter, the Green Knights took a 14-0 lead. The first touchdown was a 62-yard pass from Gavin Amerman to Collin Mckeague. Conor Fehr then took a rushing touchdown to the end zone.
The second quarter, was still all Green Knights. Gavin Amerman threw another touchdown to Collin Mckeague to make the score 21-0. Going into halftime, the Knights had another score from Conor Fehr giving them a 28 point lead at the half.
Palmerton was ready to play coming into the third quarter. They scored 21 unanswered points with four minutes to go in the game, and all of a sudden the Green Knights defense needed a big stop. The Knights got the stop they needed, got the ball back, and ran out the clock. Palmerton tried to come from behind, but the knights would not let that happen.
Gavin Amerman finished with five completions for 109 yards, and gained 48 rushing yards. Collin Mckeague was given the player of the game award after his two big touchdowns.
The Knights will welcome the Wilson Warriors next Saturday with a 1:30 kickoff. It is the Homecoming game for Pen Argyl.
