Coaches Comments: Lauren has such a high ceiling and she has really begun to realize that more and more. As a coach, I see how she really could be great in anything she chooses to swim, and she is harnessing that belief and positivity and willingness to explore where this can lead her. Some find it easy to focus on 1 or 2 events and do great, while others have to risk going all-in on every event and trust and know that this diversity will even pay off with less focus on the 1 or 2 events you love. Lauren is seeing this now. She became a solid freestyler for us, as well as a solid breaststroke and IM, however she also is solid in backstroke. This diversity has empowered her to be the best she can be and a reliable swimmer for her team.
