Liberty beats Easton to Open EPC Play

Two teams that expect to be in the mix when it’s all said and done opened the EPC Baseball season today, with Liberty hosting Easton. Both teams with a lot of talent back and hope to improve on solid seasons in 2018.

The Red Rovers jumped out in front in the top of the first inning, but after the Hurricanes tied the game in the second, they would use a two-run third inning to take the lead and never look back as they get their first win of 2019. Liberty starting pitcher Jacob Kraihanzel went four innings allowing just one run while striking out three.

Both teams will get in a day of practice tomorrow before getting back on the diamond on Thursday. Liberty will go on the road to face off against Allen while Easton will entertain Dieruff in their home opener.
