Maddix Myers’ 700 series Leads PBurg to Victory

Phillipsburg hosted Bridgewater-Raritan at Belpike Lanes on January 18. The teams had previously met before the match, with the Phillipsburg girls winning, and the Phillipsburg boys losing.

The Phillipsburg boys shot 1,013 to Bridgewater’s 908, winning game one. In game two, Phillipsburg struck again, defeating Bridgewater 945 to 890. PBurg swept in game three, winning 929 to 855. The Phillipsburg boys were led by Maddix Myers (713). His 700 series is the fourth in PBurg bowling history.

The PBurg girls swept Bridgewater 7-0. In game one, PBurg defeated Bridgewater 816 to 603. In game two, the Liners took the victory, 790 to 554. Phillipsburg won the final game, 789 to 551.

PBurg faces South Hunterdon on Monday at Belpike lanes. The girls are now 7-1 on the season, while the boys are 5-4.
